In February, Charity Director, Rebecca Wood, represented The Evelyn Trust at the cornerstone unveiling ceremony by the Princess Royal, Patron of Magpas capital campaign.
The Evelyn Training Centre is an important part of this major new resource in protecting the health of the region, allowing Magpas Air Ambulance clinical staff to keep up to date while on call or at other times on the base. Magpas Air Ambulance is the largest provider of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Training in the United Kingdom and this new facility will help train the next generation of Air Ambulance Doctors and Paramedics, helping to save more lives and improve patient outcomes.
Magpas Air Ambulance has been in existence for over 50 years to save lives and reduce disability through provision of pre-hospital emergency care by land or by air, attending over 70,000 patients since its founding.
