Chairman
Jeremy Newsum

Jeremy Newsum, DL, FRICS became Chair of the Trustees in 2021 and is a member of the Health and Wellbeing Grants Committee and the Investment Committee. He retired in 2017 after leading the executive team at the Grosvenor Estate for more than 25 years and now lists his occupation as artist. Jeremy is also Senior Independent Director at Wates Group, Chair of the Cambridge Literary Festival and a member of the Investment Committee of Trinity College, Cambridge.

“My focus will be to build the Trust’s impact from this point, exploring ways in which we can be a catalyst for further improvement in the health of the community, seed funding research and projects which then grab attention and go on to greater things. We are particularly keen to raise our profile in the Peterborough and Fenland areas. These parts of the county have pockets of serious deprivation, but the availability of Trust funding is not so well known there. I aim to work with the Board to spread the word and encourage many more top quality health and wellbeing applications from those communities. It’s a great privilege to be asked to chair the Trust and I look forward to leading its evolution,” says Jeremy.
